Saturday May 17 from 11am-6pm at Soundwell Center in Marlboro, NY
Reiki Level 1 for Psychotherapists Training and Certification is on the road, with this mini-retreat in the beautiful Hudson Valley!
For those further north, and city-dwellers who want to be supported by nature, this IN-PERSON certification will offer a comprehensive foundation for Reiki Practice with added focus on its application in Psychotherapy Practice.
Reiki Level 1 prepares us to work with Reiki energy on the physical level, including bones, joints, tissues, organs, and the nervous system. Working directly with the somatic experience, we can offer nourishing support not only for “physical issues” such as pain, illness, and bodily manifestations of stress, but for the emotional themes that are connected to somatic expression.
Upon completion of Level 1 you will be able to practice with friends and family (and yourself!) and to begin incorporating the practices into your personal life. You can begin using supportive techniques in your work with clients. The first degree of Reiki creates the foundation for practice, opening the door to a new way of experiencing energy and how we move energy through the body.

Thursday May 29 at 7:30pm ET
This VIRTUAL monthly group will offer a therapeutic application of Reiki for relaxation, release, and community.
At the start of the practice, participants will guided to systematically relax the body and mind. Therapeutic sound (such as Tibetan bowls and chimes) will be shared, while Reiki continues to be offered to the group. Reiki has many benefits including restorative effects on the nervous system, increased creativity, insights, emotional release, and calm. Reiki can also be beneficial to those who are grieving or contemplating existential matters, by inviting a deeper relationship to energy beyond the physical body. There will be time for sharing and questions following the group, or participants are welcome to free-write.
The experiential component of each group will be recorded for those who cannot attend live and for those who wish to continue working with the practice. Sharing will not be recorded, for the privacy of participants.

Continuing Education event, offering 2 CEUs for Licensed Creative Arts Therapists in NY State
This two-hour workshop will present an overview of the Chakras individually, and how their unique attributes may be observed in the creative process. Participants will learn about the Chakras' associated symbols, colors, sounds, and physical locations in the body, and consider how this may inform Creative Arts Practice. Then energy awareness techniques will be shared, to add additional depth to working with the chakras.
The second half of the workshop will explore the learning material experientially, using a guided Reiki Meditation focusing on the Chakras, followed by open art expression.
Sponsored by Open House Brooklyn, this workshop is open to all who are interested, and will provide 2 CEUs to LCATS

This VIRTUAL course will explore how intentionally navigating states of consciousness can deepen creativity. Eastern and Western perspectives on the liminal, qualities of brainwave states, and the bidirectional nature of creative expression and subconscious will be introduced through brief lectures. Each week participants will be guided through layers of consciousness to prepare for creative expression, with practices informed by Ericksonian Hypnosis, Yoga Nidra, Tantric meditation, and deep relaxation.
This will be followed by an open art practice, supported by Reiki, allowing space to create and integrate. All levels of experience are welcome, and participants may work in any preferred medium.
