meditation & yoga nidra

  • Wednesday nights at 6pm ET, next cycle begins on 10/7

Registration is donation-based, and enrollment opens monthly.

Tantric Meditation is structured practice, that uses a variety of breath and visualization techniques to enliven Prana within the subtle body. Over time our dedicated practice develops Shakti— the creative force of vital energy with creates charisma, magnetism, fortitude, and inner peace.

Our theme for October is: Essentials of Classical Pranayama.

In many ways, this functions as an introductory class for those new to yogic or Tantric meditation, as it goes into greater detail about an essential preparatory practice: pranayama. But it also offers something for the intermediate student who wishes to better understand what is transpiring during different techniques, and how this might inform the selection of techniques in a self-guided practice. The first class will review foundational techniques that deepen capacity of diaphragmatic breath and develop the skill of breath retention, and explore why this is beneficial. We will practice a sequence of multiple techniques each week, exploring enlivening, balancing, and tranquilizing pranayamas including: extended nadi shodhana variations, Kapalabhati, Bhastrika, Brahmeri, and Nawa Sankya.

All are welcome! Replay is available for all who register; if you are unable to attend live, you are welcome to participate by recording.

  • Monthly on Thursday at 6pm ET and Sunday at 4pm, virtual with replay

Next class is 9/17 at 6pm ET

Yoga Nidra is a meditative technique, practiced lying down in Savasana, allowing awareness to move through the layers of the being. This practice often leads to deep rest and relaxation, and can provide a much needed respite from our culture of “doing.”‍ ‍

Yoga Nidra can be approached as a standlalone meditation practice or Sadhana, as well as a preparation for advanced meditation techniques, and allows the benefits of an asana practice to be fully integrated. By learning how to move through a systematic relaxation process, we develop deeper awareness of the subtle body and the mind.

This virtual group meets twice per month and offers a unique, eight-stage Yoga Nidra, with an emphasis on community building, and includes time for sharing and questions.

Participants will be invited to consider any intentions they wish to be amplified by the practice.

This class meets over zoom, the practice will recorded and downloadable to all registrants .

workshops, classes, & trainings

  • In PROGRESS - 4 week series begins September 8 at 7pm ET

This experiential course will explore how intentionally navigating states of consciousness can deepen creativity. Eastern and Western perspectives on the liminal, qualities of brainwave states, and the bidirectional nature of creative expression and subconscious will be introduced through brief lectures. Techniques that safely induce liminal states that support the creative process will be shared and explored.

Each week, I will draw upon my experience as an Art Psychotherapist, Ericksonian Hypnotist, Yoga Nidra and Tantric Meditation teacher, and Dreamwork facilitator to guide participants through layers of consciousness to prepare for creative expression. An open art practice, supported by Reiki, will allow space to create and integrate, followed by time for sharing. All levels of experience are welcome, and participants may work in any preferred medium.

Part Lecture, Part Meditation class, and Part open studio— opening the pathways for inspiration to flow.
